Hedi Slimane Yves Saint Laurent Boots

I am sorry my posting has been so rubbish and irregular in the past few months!! I have been really busy! Hopefully there will be some great posts on the way soon!!
Also sorry because I realise how sad it is to do a post purely about one pair of boots. But these aren't just any boots! These boots are amazing little gems of character for your feet... Your lucky feet!! Most probably my favourite piece I have seen this season.. Sadly not to be for me though because, when Hedi meets Yves the price is never quite right for me...

3 Models

Everyone knows the obvious girls I could have chosen, Cara, Jourdan and Kate. But why would I?? Here is your chance to hear a little more about some amazing girls.
instagram @framecakeofficial

Daria Werbowy
Daria is the 29 year old Ukrainian-Canadian "it" girl. She was  born in Poland and is also an avid sailor who still loves the outdoors. She is said to never have seriously considered modelling before she won a national modelling contest!!
She currently holds the record for the most catwalk seasons opened and closed in one season which is also pretty amazing. Even now she has mixed feelings about what she does and still makes time to spend outside with nature.

Chloe Norgaard
Featured in Miss Vogue Chloe's dad is Danish and her mum is from Poland. Her beautiful rainbow mane (which is often compared to My Little Pony) is done by her own hands to create amazing effects. Her quirky look and beautiful features have landed her campaigns with with the likes of Benetton and Mochino Cheap and chic. Definitely one to look out for.

The Liebster Award

Sorry for not posting for so long! I have been on holiday but i hope this post makes it better! I give you... (DRUM ROLL) The Liebster Award!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Liebster Award is a great way to raise your blog's profile and is perfect for blogs which are new or small!! Here's how it works:

1. You have to answer the 10 questions your nominator gave you.
2. You then have to nominate ten bloggers who have under 200 followers and link them in the post.
3. Come up with 10 new questions for the nominees to answer.
4. Finally, Inform your nominees so they can post their responses.

I was nominated by www.pinupprincess.com so thank you a lot! I'm really sorry this took so long!!!

1. Do you belong to any 'beauty box' subscription services? If so, which ones?
No but a subscription is definitely on the Christmas list from somewhere like BirchBox!
2. Who is your fashion icon?
Ooh that's a hard one.. I have been a big fan of Alexa Chung for a long time and I love Cara Delevingne too! I love to pick out things I love out of many  people's outfits really!
3. Who would you say is beautiful that others maybe wouldn't agree with?
Some of my friends think Alexa Chung isn't actually nice looking which I find really hard to understand!!
4. If you had $1,000 to spend on clothes or cosmetics, which would you choose?
Clothes, because they last forever and good clothes will last far longer than most cosmetics!!
5. Favorite place to shop for cosmetics?
MAC. The make up is of such a high quality and the price isn't extortionate!
6. Biggest fashion and/or beauty pet peeve?
Onesies- they are unflattering, unpleasant looking and strangely overused by the masses!
7. Share your favorite makeup tip with us.
Less is more, I believe subtle classy makeup looks better than heaps of cheap foundation clagging up your eyebrows and therefore your life!
8. What is your current favorite perfume/fragrance?
Le Soft Solid Perfume in Lucky Bay is a new lovely discovery of mine which I can't get enough of!
9. What is something you will splurge on without guilt?
Skin care in any form, you have your skin for life, so it's worth the money!!
10. Where is your favorite place to shop for clothing?
Topshop is so versatile so I own lot's of Topshop but I am in love with Zara at the moment so I  don't know if I could choose!!

My nominees are...

Go give them some love!!!
My questions:
1. What item of clothing do you always feel amazing in?
2. You go to make up item for any time of day?
3. If you could model for anyone, who?
4. Your most recent spurge??
5. Where you get your inspiration from?
6. A look you would never go for?
7. Your favourite pair of shoes?
8. What do you smell of right now??
9. What are your nails like right now?
10. Who's style would you steal?

A quick review of... Le Soft Solid Perfume in Lucky Bay

framecake reckons this is a five star product because...

Solid Perfume Stick Lucky Bay
On sale for £19.00
I have heard whispers about this perfume for a while now but was a little reluctant to get it over the internet because (obviously) smelly computers haven't been invented yet!!
It's available in 10 different "flavours" including Lucky Bay which I finally decided to buy!!
So the actual product? It's exactly what it says it is, light and citrus smelling -perfect for your holidays, the beach or beach holidays! Because it is solid you can even take it on the plane with you!
The packaging is completely lovely and bright and in general it is just a beautiful product! It is smooth on your skin and is really easy to apply anywhere on your body!
Such a bargain considering the quality!!!
I would definitely head back to www.cultbeauty.co.uk  to try another from this lovely collection and would strongly recommend you do too!!!
P.S I am now on Instagram as of yesterday!! Follow me @framecakeofficial for pointless pictures of guinea pigs and shoes!!

Behind the Camera

Hi I'm Smidge, Sazzly's sister I don't often do blog posts but I have decided to do one post. I have taken many of Sarah's blog photos and I am now her official blog photographer.
Sazzly is the best fashion sister ever she was shopping with me and we passed a charity shop ad she spotted through her fashion eyes a RALPH LAUREN shirt in the window so we entered and found it and saw  it was in my size so we bought it for £13 WOW!!
A bit about me:
I love Olly Murs and my favourite shop is Hollister. I really love animals and sport. I love the colour purple and my favourite book is The Hunger Games.

A Guest Post from ClosetDiamonds

Hello! This is not Sazzly Glimmer today this is Eleanor (aka Ellie or Elz or whatever you want really). Sazzly (aka Sarah to me) started Framecake a few months before I started 'ClosetDiamonds' (my little fashion blog) and we have kept a continuous interest in each others blogs. It was Sarah who came up with the bright idea (she usually has the ideas) to do a guest post, in an interview style, on each others blogs. So here it is!

Sarah has sent me a list of questions and I have sent her some back.

How did you start ClosetDiamonds?

Well, as I said, Sarah started blogging a few months before me and I loved Framecake. I thought it was really cool that people all over the world  listened to her fashion advice/inspiration/critique etc. I also have loved fashion ever since I was tiny and I can't think of anything better to do than shop (except blogging of course)! Blogging helped me channel my love for fashion into something other people could read. Researching designers also helped me to pick up ideas as I am thinking that maybe one day I would like to have a career in Fashion. I typed blogspot into google and I suppose it all just carried on from there.

Who are your biggest style idols?

Ohhh this could go on for pages. I love Cara Delevingne, she is so cool but without trying too hard; not forgetting that she wears the coolest beanies this planet has ever seen. I really love her new campaign for DKNY, you should check it out. I also love Miranda Kerr, Taylor Swift, Mollie King and Lily Collins.

What is your favourite high street shop?

Probably Topshop because it's affordable and does some really nice clothes. I got some new shoes from there just the other day...
I also like Miss Selfridge when I am feeling really girly.

Who is your favourite designer?

Sophia Webster designs amazing accessories that are really quirky, she is definitely one of my favourites. I also love Marc Jacobs, his Spring collection for Louis Vuitton in 2012 is beautiful and his 2013 collection did not disappoint. He is a genius when it comes to designing clothes. And of course Coco Chanel is one of my favourites too, no explanation needed!

How would you describe your style?

This is a difficult one for me as I have so many different styles. I haven't got one particular style but I dress according to how I feel, if you know what I mean. However I especially like flower garlands and boho/festival pieces. I am also loving graphic tees at  the moment; check out these ones...

What is your favourite make up brand?

I like Benefit, Bobbi Brown and L'Oreal when it comes to makeup but I'm not too fussy (as long as it does the job then I don't really care). However my must have beauty product has to be L'Oreal's long lasting liquid eyeliner. It is, as it claims, long lasting and very easy to use (even for novices like me). It is also quite difficult to smudge unlike other liquid liners that I have tried.

What products do you use skincare-wise?

I try to stick to quite a strict skincare regime. In the morning I wash my face with Clearasil rapid action gel wash and then use Garnier Pure active Blackhead Clearing Scrub. At night I use the Clearasil product again and then apply Duac once daily cream (prescription only).

What is your perfume of the moment?

I am a bit of a perfume hoarder if I am honest. I love to keep them all on my dressing table and if the perfume has a nice bottle then I am more likely to buy it. My favourite is Purr by Katy Perry (very nice bottle) and I also like Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift and Fuel for life by Diesel.

Well that's all from me but if you liked this post then please take a look at ClosetDiamonds

Thanks guys xx
